Max Bullough, linebacker

Le'Veon Bell, running back

• High school: Groveport-Madison (Reynoldsburg, Ohio)

• Height, weight: 6-2, 221

• Buzz: Rushed for 1,333 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior.

• Dantonio says: "Big, powerful athlete who also has outstanding ball skills. At 220-plus pounds, Le'Veon provides our offense with a big back in the mold of a Jehuu Caulcrick."

Darqueze Dennard, defensive back

• High school: Twiggs County (Ga.)

• Height, weight: 5-11, 170

• Buzz: Can compete for early playing time with a knack for making big plays.

• Dantonio says: "Darqueze runs very well and also has outstanding deep-ball judgement as a punt and kick returner, wide receiver and defensive back."

Joe Boisture, quarterback

• Buzz: An Elite 11 selection with a big arm and great vision who originally committed to Boston College

• Dantonio says: "Joe Boisture is a Spartan legacy, as his grandfather Dan coached here for Duffy Daugherty. He's a big, rangy athlete with an outstanding arm."

Taylor Calero, defensive end

• High school: Southfield Christian

• Height, weight: 6-3, 230

• Buzz: Will combine great quickness with versatility off the edge.

• Dantonio says: "Taylor Calero will provide immediate competition at the defensive end position. He's extremely explosive and powerful at the point of attack and he's displayed his abilities as a pass rusher."

Michael Dennis, offensive lineman

• High school: Carey (Ohio)

• Height, weight: 6-7, 270

• Buzz: Played tight end in high school and has great reach.

• Dantonio says: "He has added 20-to-25 pounds to his frame since last summer. Michael is very athletic for his size and he really displays his agility as an outstanding basketball player."

Kurtis Drummond, defensive back

• Dantonio says: "Kurtis definitely has the combination of size and speed to be a tremendous Big Ten player. He reminds me a great deal of former Spartan safety Thomas Wright."

Mylan Hicks, defensive back

Nick Hill, running back

• Buzz: Rushed for 1,989 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior.

• Dantonio says: "He is a special athlete who did an outstanding job of displaying his all-around skills in our summer camp. Nick is an extremely explosive and powerful runner ... he does some exciting things."

Travis Jackson, offensive lineman

Jeremy Langford, running back

• Buzz: Powerful runner with 4.4 speed.

• Dantonio says: "Langford ran the wildcat offense to near perfection in high school. He has great vision, cutting ability and ball skills ... there's no question he'll be an excellent player for us."

Isaiah Lewis, defensive back

Tony Lippett, receiver

• Buzz: Recorded 3,014 total yards and 30 touchdowns at quarterback in the fall.

• Dantonio says: "He's a track athlete who combines great speed with a big frame ... He has that extra gear that makes him an immediate deep threat."

Keith Mumphrey, receiver
